Just needed to find a quiet place with WiFi and unfortunately the coffee shops were almost full. Unfortunately for me Gumbo was the only place available.
Gumbo restaurant serves New Orlean’s Creole and Cajun food in a Mardi Gras like ambiance. You will mostly find their staff wearing festive hats with long feathers like peacock.
I ordered the Chicken Parmagiana Pasta 395 PHP. They serve you a complimentary bread with roasted garlic and olive oil while waiting for your meal.
The serving size is good for sharing for at least two people with their Petite size. The family size is good for 4 people.
I like that they used real tomatoes and served it neatly with a basil leaf. The pasta sauce tasted good unlike the pasta from Outback Restaurant. (overpriced and dreadful quality)
The chicken breading is crunchy and they used 3 types of cheese. The meat is tender, tasty and not dry.
Gumbo menu description
Overall Gumbo New Orleans is a good place to gather and have Western comfort food. The dishes taste better compared to Outback Restaurant and possibly Friday’s since Gumbo uses fresher ingredients and spices. The serving sizes are good for sharing.
