1. Do not assume that we saved your number in our contacts list.
You are not family and we are not friends. Always state your name and concern. We have hundreds of applicants every day. Some of you applicants have the nerve to get angry if we do not remember your name.

2. Please do not call us by the name of our company.
We have names and we are using our personal numbers to reach out to you just in case you don’t know. It’s okay if you can’t remember my name. You can just say “miss” and not “Hi, company”. Politeness counts. You should always say please and thank you.

3. Please do not call in the middle of the night
Just to call us and be very demanding of the status of your application. The company may be operating 24/7 but not us. A thank you note is expected generally by email the same day as the interview, and certainly not longer than the next day.

4. Maintain Eye Contact
Maintaining eye contact is perceived as a sign of sincerity and confidence, as well as helping to build rapport between the interviewer and interviewee. However, avoid extremes.
5. Show Up On Time
“If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late.”
6. Dress the Part
Make sure your attire is clean and freshly pressed, and that your shoes are polished. Ladies please, DO NOT wear fishnet stockings to an Interview/Orientation. It gives off the WRONG perception, you’re writing yourself out of the job! Everything matters.

7. Mind Your Body Language
Move with confidence and sit in an upright position, holding your head high. Avoid lounging back on your seat as you will come across as too casual.
