New Mouse Test – Rapoo Wired Optical Mouse

When you accidentally drop your mouse, there’s a very high chance the buttons will malfunction.  It will click twice when you only click it once.  You will be unable to drag files since it automatically clicks multiple times.

I’ve used the A4 Tech Padless Optical Mouse and it served quite well.

I’ve looked through different brands like Logitech, ProLink, and Rapoo in Office Warehouse.  In the end, I chose Rapoo n1162 wired optical mouse based on the following criteria:

• The shape and size is really comfortable to my hand.
• The packaging is a simple cardboard box which makes it easy to test before you purchase it.  The other mice were sealed and can only be tested upon purchase.
• The buttons are curved which are comfortable to your fingers
• This brand is already being used by their staff and testified that it’s functioning for a good length of time
• Price is good for the value at 200 PHP.  I am shocked to find that it’s around $11 USD in Amazon.

After days of testing, I find that the buttons are harder to click on compared to my old A4Tech Padless mouse.  It is not bothersome for office use but if you are into gaming, you might want to choose a different brand.

Lacks the shiny finish that makes the mouse surface smooth making it easy for dirt to cling on the surface.

It is very light, I’m not sure how durable the material is when accidentally dropped.

Overall it is still a comfortable mouse to use and good value.
