Where Your Opinions Get Discussed with Like Minded People
Ever wondered what those social media hashtags were for? Really…I don’t.
I clicked on them and found other posts which could be relevant or at times spam.
I do recognize that it’s a way to organize posts together, but I’m not sure how ordinary people like me use them.
Do they hope someone else clicks on the hashtag?
Do they regularly check for posts related to the hashtag they like? I’m not sure.
However this app has found a brilliant way to organize your posts and engage other like minded users to express opinions about the topics they care about. It also recognizes users as an authority of certain topics and categories when more users talk about their topics.
It is positioning itself to be the global opinion social network
Things you can do with State.com app
Participate in trending topics
When you create your account, you will be asked to select categories you like and it will show trending topics on the categories you picked. Each topic will show you the top 3 opinions at a glance and the range of people that agree with it (which also works like a hashtag) 
When you pick the topic, you would see the most common responses you can choose from (It works like Facebook likes, only there’s more to ‘like’ to)
You’d also see which countries and users are most engaged with the topic.

It helps you get started on trending topics, places around you or pictures you share
State is currently available on iOS with an Android version coming soon. In the meantime, you can access it with your phone’s browser.

I could see that this will be a valuable digital marketing tool to get insights and gain authority.
