Less than a week after PokemonGo’s release, there have been funny or tragic news among the players of this game – accidentally falling into the water, falling off a cliff, road accidents, and a library requesting Niantic (the Pokemon company) to remove the Pokestop from their location due to rowdy crowds.
When did pokemon come out?
The first Pokémon games, Pokémon Red and Green Versions, came to the Nintendo Game Boy system in Japan on February 27, 1996, which was the fulfillment of Satoshi Tajiri’s dream and allowed people of all ages to catch, train and trade 151 creatures and become a Pokémon Master.
PokemonGo has quickly changed the whole world. Here are some of the amusing changes
1. Don’t Pokemon and Drive Road Sign
Police warning motorists not to catch Pokemon and Drive
2. Mall Promotions: Lure parties
Pokemon lures are items you can use to attract pokemons to your location without having to move around. They are usually deployed on pokestops. Malls have jumped in and used PokemonGo as a marketing tool.
3. Pokeball Pizza
4. Pokeball Powerbank
5. Segmenting customers
“Pokemon are for paying customers only” says this sign outside a cafe.
some people came in Saturday looking for Pokemon in the lobby, not buying anything, and causing a minor nuisance. – manager
There are even stores that offer promotions depending on which Pokemon Team you belong – Team Valor, Team Mystic, and Team Instinct

6. Pokemon Burgers
Down N’ Out, a restaurant in Sydney, Australia, has created three burgers inspired by the Nintendo game. Customers will be served either a Pikachu, Charmander or Bulbasaur burger when they order a Pokeburger from the restaurant
Which one will you eat?
While PokemonGo is marketed as a game, Here’s what I think so far about the lurking dangers with the app.
- It can be used as a tool to harm citizens unknowingly sending them to dangerous locations as human shields. Bombs can be planted more strategically.
- Tragic stampedes are likely to happen should more players grow and be obsessed with getting the rare and hard to get Pokemons. In fact, it’s starting to happen, accidents closely behind.
- It can be used to ruin other businesses blocking their customers.
A huge stampede converged in Taiwan, all over ‘Pokémon Go’
